Manual Backups
Create manual (on-demand) backups of your Cafora Minecraft server.
Manual backups let you create a snapshot of your server at any time — ideal before major changes, plugin installations, or version updates.
Creating a Manual Backup
Open the Pterodactyl Panel and select your server.
Go to the Backups tab.
Click Create Backup.
Optionally give the backup a descriptive name.
Click Start Backup.
When to Create Manual Backups
- Before installing or updating plugins
- Before changing server software (Paper → Purpur, etc.)
- Before upgrading or downgrading Minecraft versions
- Before making major configuration changes
- After completing significant builds or projects
Manual backups complement automatic backups. Use both for comprehensive protection.
