Performance Optimization

Comprehensive guide to optimizing your Cafora Minecraft server.

Pre-Generate Your World

Generating new chunks at runtime is one of the biggest performance drains. Use a plugin like Chunky to pre-generate your world:

  1. Install Chunky from SpigotMC or Paper Hangar
  2. Set your world border
  3. Run the pre-generation command
  4. Wait for completion (may take hours for large worlds)

Configuration Optimizations

Plugin & Mod Optimization

  • Remove plugins you do not actively use
  • Check plugin performance with Spark
  • Replace heavy plugins with lighter alternatives
  • Keep everything updated to latest stable versions

Common Culprits

IssueSolution
HoppersReduce hopper tick rate, limit per chunk
VillagersReduce AI activation range, limit breeding
