Performance Optimization
Comprehensive guide to optimizing your Cafora Minecraft server.
Pre-Generate Your World
Generating new chunks at runtime is one of the biggest performance drains. Use a plugin like Chunky to pre-generate your world:
- Install Chunky from SpigotMC or Paper Hangar
- Set your world border
- Run the pre-generation command
- Wait for completion (may take hours for large worlds)

- Remove plugins you do not actively use
- Check plugin performance with Spark
- Replace heavy plugins with lighter alternatives
- Keep everything updated to latest stable versions
Common Culprits
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Hoppers | Reduce hopper tick rate, limit per chunk |
| Villagers | Reduce AI activation range, limit breeding |
| Redstone | Disable clocks, use observers instead of repeaters |
| Items on ground | Set clear-lag plugin or reduce despawn time |
| Exploration | Pre-generate world, set world border |
| Too many players | Consider a higher-tier plan |
