Server Management

Console

Use the server console to send commands, view logs, and monitor your Minecraft server in real time.

The Console is the primary interface for interacting with your running Minecraft server. It displays live server output and allows you to send commands directly.

Accessing the Console

  1. Open the Pterodactyl Panel
  2. Select your server
  3. Click the Console tab

Console Features

  • Live output — Real-time server logs and chat messages
  • Command input — Send commands as if you were in-game with operator privileges
  • Scrollback — View recent console history
  • Search — Filter console output by keyword

Common Commands

# List online players
list

# Broadcast a message to all players
say <message>

# Give a player operator status
op <player>

# Save the world
save-all

# Stop the server safely
stop

# Reload plugin configurations (not recommended)
reload

Avoid using /reload to reload plugins — it can cause state corruption, duplicate entities, and memory leaks. Always restart your server after making plugin changes.

Console Output

The console shows:

  • Player joins and leaves
  • Chat messages (if enabled)
  • Plugin load status
  • Errors and warnings
  • Server startup progress
  • World save confirmations
